COMPOSITE B

COMPOSITE B is a basalt fibre reinforced preceramic for applications in the working
temperatures from 250°C up to 650°C.
The advantages of basalt fibre are:
• Temperature resistance up to 650°C
• Lighter than steel and stainless steel
• Stronger in tensile strength than steel and stainless steel
• Thermally less conductive than steel and stainless steel
• Non-magnetic
• Thermal expansion is similar to concrete
• Unlimited in natural resources
• Lower cost comparing carbon fibre
